all new targets as opposed to other ranges with all the cores shot out
not a real "fat boy friendly" range as the terrain is a bit rugged
nice trails but alot of up and down hills
but....the terrain is used well providing some REAL serious up and down challenge shots
lots of very realistic hunting situations
and only about an hour drive from indy

"I shot this course yesterday with Birddog13, and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area. We drove 1 hour & 20 minutes or so, and would do it again, even with high gas prices. It would be worth the trip to any of you. It was much nicer than my "home" course. Nice to shoot brand-new targets that are stored indoors. I could actually get my arrows out...!!!

They also had a money shot too... just for fun. Trying to hit the 11-ring on a beaver 60 yards away is quite addicting.

Another positive.... kids shoot free...!!! "

"I enjoyed shooting there. Everything seemed to be well set up. No safety issues at all with target placement, and that's usually a tough thing for a new course operator to get right. Having plenty of room to spread things out helped, I'm sure.

I thought the course was well marked and the trails easy to follow without confusion. That can be tough for a new operator to get right, too.

The hills are very moderate, and nearly half the course was pretty flat, so the exercise was easy to take.

Nearly every target location was in the woods, so the shade will make it comfortable for summer shooting.

Good area in the barn to duck out of any weather that might temporarily chase people inside.
I think you should do well with the course.

It's little over an hour from me, so I may not make all of them, but I do expect to be down there again.

Only problem I had was finding the place, and that was my own fault. I missed the decimal point and was expecting to see the white barn five miles north of Scipio, instead of half a mile north. Wasn't sure how far I was still north of Scipio when I decided I better run on down to the town and start back watching my odometer. Then around the next bend, and there was the white barn with trucks parked out in the grass and people shooting at the practice butts. Easy to find if you're not looking for it five miles north!

One suggestion I could make....if there was a slot or box marked receive the scorecards when we come off the course, the shooters completing the course wouldn't need to stand in line with the folks getting a hot dog or a cold drink, so it would ease congestion in the area of the food line during the busy moments. Not a big deal, just a little thing that might make it go slightly smoother."
